Today, we want to take the time to thank each and everyone of our Veterans for your service to our country. We truly are thankful for our freedoms we have in our country today. We have many family and friends (still with us) and loved ones who have gone on to be with the Lord who we honor and are extremely grateful for today. Thank you so much.
Let us not forget, sometimes returning home is not easy. We should always be on the look out and aware of our service men and women who come home from deployment as well. May we forever be able to help and be there for them.

It is that time of year when the farmers are digging those sweet potatoes and grocery stores are running then on sale right now for all this holiday baking. When you go to the store, just grab extra while they are on sale and bring the home. Use some for your baking, but the rest I can show you how to preserve them so you will have more on hand for a later use. You can put sweet potato puree in anything like breads, muffins, pies, waffles, pancakes, souffle's, etc. You can enjoy this root vegetable any time of the year. It is also keto and diabetic friendly and a great substitute to regular potatoes.

So, do you have any plans for all those pumpkins you bought to decorate your home and porch with for Halloween? Well, in case you don't have a clue, I do. I have a video on our YouTube channel where I show you how I break down pumpkins we grew, and I canned some and made puree to freeze for baking. It is the perfect time of year to start using pumpkins to use in your holiday baking. Oh all the pumpkin pies, breads, muffins, waffles, and pancakes you can make. Delicious. If you don't want to preserve and consume them, still put them to use by throwing them out for the wildlife like birds, deer, racoons, opossums, and squirrels. Better yet, you can give it to your livestock like chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, horses and cows. Did you know that pumpkin seeds are a natural de-wormer in livestock. So, yes, by all means do SOMETHING with those big boogers. Don't let them go to waste.

Hey y'all. I promise I have not fell off the face of the earth. We have been extremely busy. Our granddaughters were in a pageant and they both did really great. First pageant for our youngest. They both did awesome.
I got to go on a work trip with dear hubby. I am getting to see a few sights. We have been in 3 different places in Illinois. He has to cover 3 different plants.
During this time, our oldest son married his sweetheart. They both dreamed of getting married in Montana and that is exactly what they did. It was just them and we were ok with it. Not everyone wants big weddings with lots of people. Everyone is different. This is what they wanted and it was their dream. No way were we taking that away from them. But believe me, they were blowing up our phones with pics and videos of the area and their adventure. Our son got to go to a well known ranch and have a guided tour and spent time with the owners and gained alot of knowledge. He was so excited.
I had to go home for a week because I had a dr appt that I could not miss or I would have to wait a whole year for a next opening. So I toughed it out and made it. The girls were with Dad and bonus mom this week so we "shared " the girls. They let them stay with me half the week and then I had to go back to dear hubby. I had girls crying and wanting me and a dear hubby crying and wanting me. It's so nice to be loved. lol Of course no visit at Poppie and Gmaws house is complete with out popcorn, movies, playing and baking something.
I got back to dear hubby and have diligently been working on a few things that I have been praying about for some time now. I don't want to say what just in case the Lord never lets it come about. But when it does, you will know trust me.
We have just a few days left and we will be heading home and we can't wait.
Our son and all his girls have been at our house because they are renovating the bathroom and living room in his house. It was time and timing was just right for this. Our granddaughters have felt right at home and comfortable and surrounded by all their things through this renovation by staying at our house. They are finishing up and like I said, timing was perfect.
I will still be working on some things. It's been good to have this time to do this because trust me when I say, when I'm home, I literally have my granddaughters glued to my hip. If I get up to just go potty, that one is right behind me. She will not let me out of her sight. If I run into her when I turn around, she will say, "You should have known I was right here!" She cracks me up.

I have created an Amazon Storefront for our page. I did this because so many people reach out to me often wanting to know what kind of things they see us using in our videos on YouTube and such. About 2 years ago, my dear hubby saw a little hack on Pinterest that he liked and asked me if I would try it for him. You see, he loves Pillsbury Flaky Layer Biscuits. The little hack was someone had made cinnamon rolls with them. So, as the good wife I am....😇I was happy to learn how to do it. After I figured out how to do it, went and bought all the stuff I needed, and got ready to make them, I had a bright idea of making a video of it. So, I took a chance of uploading the video to our channel. Why Not? OH MY GOSH!!!!!! What happened next blew my mind. People blew my channel up with that one video. Now, a year or so later, I was thinking, why not do more videos and just make a series. So I Did.
