Life Lately On The Farm

Welcome to today's post.

Hello Friends. Sorry, I have been missing in action lately. This is why. LIFE IS HAPPENING!!!!!!

We kicked the month of June off with VBS for our girls at their church. I am so glad they had this opportunity. Our church was having VBS the same week. I wanted to take them to ours, but by all means, I'm glad they went somewhere. They had a good time, and we got invited to family night on the last night. 

While the garden was growing wonderful plants and vegetables, we had some time to work on some hobbies and teach some sewing skills. 
 

We got to spoil a very special girl on her birthday. 

We celebrated Father's Day with my Daddy. My Momma and Daddy made a trip up here and went to church with us. Our oldest son and family went to their church that morning but joined us after all services was over and we had lunch together that I prepared for all of us. 

Every year on Flag Day, we change the flags and dispose of old ones properly according to Military Standards. 

We do not sit and watch TV or play on tablets all day, every day, either. We use our creativity and play. If that means saving some Amazon boxes for them to use, that will keep them busy for 2 hours, so be it. 

I bought some craft carts at Walmart for them to use too. I love that their craft and art supplies are neat and organized now. And they can roll them to any room they want. 

We finally got our pool up and are now able to enjoy these hot days of summer and enjoy our little tabletop fire pit. Our swimming pool and little fire pit are in my Amazon Store (linked below) on my Outdoor Recreation List. We love the little fire pit for quick s'mores and roasted hot dogs for lunch after swimming. 

Every year we make a trip to our old home place where my grandparents lived and are buried to take care of and decorate their gravesites along with other family members. 

Afterwards, we always have a picnic and take the grandkids to the local park in town. We get to ride around and show them where we went to school and lived when I was growing up. 

Now this is a beautiful sight to behold. The garden is producing its first fruits of the season. 

First time ever growing our own blackberries. Looks like a blackberry cobbler kind of night. 

And of course, there are the chores and cows. Momma and babies are all doing fine. 

I am loving all my herbs too, that I planted in these stackers from Dollar Tree (linked below). I am making wonderful tinctures with them to stock my apothecary. I will link a video below on how I do this and explain how I take 5 major herbs and turn them into natural medicine.

That is all we have been up to here on the farm, and there will be plenty more to do as we get further into the season.
