Happy Mother's Day 💓

I cannot tell you how much these two ladies mean to me. They have always been my inspiration and mentors all my life. I have gleaned, watched and practiced (still trying) how they live and lived. My beautiful Mother, who unselfishly sacrificed her life raising three girls and hit her knees more on my behalf than I can count through my stupid, know it all, rebellious teen age years. Lord, forgive me. No matter the time or day, I can call her and vent, rant, rave, scream, yell, cry and then ask her to hit her knees again on our behalf. All of us. And she just lovingly obliges. She helps me keep my sanity when I'm on the verge of loosing it . Bless her. ❤

My beautiful Grandmother.  😍

She was my inspiration too to being who I am today. I wanted a marriage and family just like her and my PaPa. I watched her love her husband and children and grandchildren so unselfishly and sacrificed her needs and comfort to make sure every one else was taken care of first. She is the picture perfect Proverbs 31 woman. She hit her knees on my behalf as well. I'm pretty sure Momma called her too and had "conversations " about me. 😆

I wish I could still talk to her today.

I learned alot from this lady as well. Sacrifice, dedication to family, gentleness with a dash of hard core, unconditional love,  and forgiveness.  She raised one "special boy 👦" to whom I am very proud to call my husband. I will finish taking care of him for you Nanny. I promise.

I am proud to be the Mother of these two rowdy,  rough, stubborn, strong willed, rebellious,  aggravating  hard heads 😆but most of all loyal, dedicated,  loving, sensitive,  strong, determined, full of grit, passionate cowboys 🤠.  They are the exact ones I want having my back anyway. You boys will never know or understand the depth of my love for you. Love Mom. 💘

I am proud to be the Gmaw of these two little blessings.  One will tell you straight up she is a Gmaws buddy and don't mess with me. The other will say, "Nope"  just to aggravate me but I know she is. I love playing with and teaching these two. We have so much fun together. Sometimes I have to get  a little rough and be the bad guy a minute but I'm so thankful for their little hearts is forgiveness.

As long as there is one breath left in my body, my husband, boys, and my little buddies will be loved and taken care of and covered in prayer ❤.

Just Doing Our Thing

We have been busy around here. We have been enjoying doing school:

The girls still love our Preschool Dvds that I bought them. Atleigh is more into them than Caroline. She picks up things really quick. One day I had a box and just let them have it to just get in and color. That was entertaining.

We've been going to some of her ballgames.

I don't know what this conversation is about but that is her other little Uncle Finn.

We have been cooking and cleaning

Sometimes we can be sweet and smile 😃

And sometimes you have to sit in the Naught Spot because you want act right. This little one will test every nerve and push every button with her strong willed self.

Dallas had a big photo shoot with our family photographer.  She is also the girls other grandmother.  She took Dallas one whole day and took all his Sr. portraits for me. This is only a few of about 250 pics that she took and has edited.

I can't believe in a month he will be graduating.  Our last kid. It has been a wild ride. Trust Me.

I am so in love with them. There are more pics to come trust me.

The girls decided they wanted to help Unkie Dallas one day.

I have been reading in what little spare time I have. I love books on marriage. This one is good and there is another in this series.

I've got several that I have bought just waiting. But wasn't really in the mood to read.

I am so thankful for little port a potties. One night after the games, we took the girls to get something to eat and we were in line waiting for our food and they asked us to pull over in a reserved spot and park. They would bring it out to us. And wouldn't you know, toddler has to go.

This is one of my truck hacks for toddlers. It stays in my truck. You can put a snack or a diaper in it. And throw away. Or they can just go and you can wash it out. I keep a gallon jug of water in my truck just in case. This time I put a diaper in it.

I don't understand why restaurants are back to full capacity in our areas and fast food places still have dining rooms closed off. Drive thru only.

I love this picture of my absolute favorite cowboys 🤠

When you have to pee but you don't dare move.

Happy Sunday

We had a good day today.  Got to take my best buddies to church.

We're all good until they run off and leave Gmaw. Poppies Princesses 👸♥

We came home and ate lunch and took a nap so daddy could work on the pasture at Nannys. He is going to get some cows. This is something he's wanted to do for a few years and by golly he's gonna do it. Then he came and picked them up.

I fixed me, Dallas and Brylee some supper. I love fixing spaghetti in my pressure cooker. It's just like an instant pot.

I fixed some toasted bagels in my air fryer. Sorry I didn't get a photo. I was too hungry.

I cleaned up and retired for the night.

I want to share some things with y'all.  I have delayed in posting it because I wanted to know for sure if it worked or not or helped. I have been experimenting and playing around with essential oils and I can post this now with confidence.

I got dear hubby to get me a diffuser. It came with 20 different oils.

I know a diffuser works because sometimes when the toddlers get a cold, I will run some Eucalyptus oil in it and it will help relieve their stuffiness  and congestion.  Also, we bought Dallas one for him to run some lavender in at night because he has sleep issues. Dallas' girlfriend, Brylee, uses one and she loves hers too. She suggested it a long time ago.

So I've been playing around with it for a while.  Well, I researched into oils more and started looking up things. Y'all, I am sold.

I have found so many remedies for so many things. I just used Pinterest as my go to guide and took notes. I also bought a book and it was well worth the money.

I bought a nifty little box to store all my oils. And I bought some rollers so I can make blends to put in my purse or for on the go. You can also research Reflexology.  It is where you massage oils onto certain pressure points and etc. Massage therapist use this method and oils all the time.

I bought Dallas a men's lava stone bracelet so he can wear it.  You can put oils of your choice on each bead and refresh it as often as needed.

I am a firm believer God put everything here for a reason. The Bible says so.

Genesis 1:29-31

I am by  no means trying to sell any products. I am just sharing what I have learned and just passing it onto you. If you are somewhat interested, you should research essential oils for Aeromatherapy.  Then get on Pinterest and just type in "essential oils for"....and whatever you want to search for. I know peppermint is great for headaches. There is one you can start with. Lavender is a relaxant and sleep aid. Eases anxiety. There is you two.

Also, you can research the individual oil and see what it's uses are and what it relieves. 😉

Disclaimer:

I am also by no means a medical professional. Do not reply solely on oils for serious medical conditions.  Please see a Dr for that. This is uses for simple things that Aeromatherapy can relieve instead of chemical medications. Please do research.

I do hope this helps someone. I know these days people suffer from ADHD, ADD, Anxiety, Stress, Insomnia and Depression. All these effects our health and daily lives and alot of people want natural relief. There is nothing wrong with that.

I hope everyone had a great day.

The Past Few Days

We've just been having fun the past few days.

Atleigh had her first T-ball game of the season. 18 yrs ago for Dakota and 15 yrs ago for Dallas, we were on this same field watching them play. Here we are again watching Little Slugger. After the game, we grabbed some supper.  We had 15 in our crew. And before anyone gets all rawled up, our state has lifted all restrictions. So we are slowly getting back to normal.

The next day dear hubby and I celebrated our First Date Anniversary 31 years ago.

31 years ago today, our love story began. We have never looked back, only looked forward to the prizes that awaited us. We have worked together as a team and had no regrets. This is our journey and we will enjoy it together.

In January of 1990,  I was so sick of boys it was pathetic. I needed a fresh new start to my life cause I was cleaning it up. I sat on the hood of my car and prayed that God would just send me somebody who loved me. They didn't have to know why, just as long as they did, I didn't care. And I asked him to throw in tall, dark, and handsome too. So that way I would know it was God. Well,

31 yrs ago this tall, dark and handsome drink of water asked me out on a date.  I was skeptical at first cause I didn't want to screw up again and not follow Gods plan. The tall, dark and handsome should have rung a bell, but I didn't catch it.

Well, there was just some thing about him. Maybe it was those baby blues, I don't know, but I said ok.  He scared me because on this first date he already told me he loved me. Now, I'm thinking boy, you're moving way to fast for me. But I let him tell me anyway.  Three weeks later he scared me more when he said he knew I was the one he was going to marry. In my head I wanted to run, but once again, those baby blues did it, along with my heart.  And look at that face. Who could resist that? I felt then God was giving me a fresh new start. So, I just had to ask, "Why do you love me?" His answer, "I don't know, I just do!" BAM!!!! It's like God Gibb slapped me in the back of my head and I remembered my prayer. Then I knew, this is the one. David said, "It took you that long to figure it out? I've been knowing it all along!" Really? Smarty pants.

Boy, am I so glad I did say yes. It has been an incredible journey and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'd do it all over again. We have come a long way with God's grace and this December we will be married 30 years. I am one who can truly say God answers prayers. I love you David Dixon with all my heart. Thank you for not knowing why you love me. Lol. ❤❤❤❤❤💋💋💋💋

Me and the girls had to take care of Poppie all day yesterday. He was so hoarse and couldn't talk. He was running a low grade fever. All the pollen around here is pretty thick right now. We have all been sneezing and coughing.  I tried to keep them occupied so he could get some rest. They are pretty good little nurses.

Sometimes they want to play, sometimes they want to help Gmaw.

Today we've just played and had a good day. Poppie took each girl to a little store down the road to let them pick out some candy. They were beginning to aggravate each other and we had to have plan b. Sometimes that's to separate them. After nap we got outside and played and worked.

We got our fairy 🧚‍♀️garden fixed back up again.

Dakota came and picked them up and now I'm just straightening up and eating supper. Then, I'm just gonna sit down and rest and spend the rest of the night with me sweetheart.

Just Living Life

We are just living life around here.

We are playing outside:

We are doing school:

Learning Home Economics:

I taught them to sort and fold their own laundry and hang their clothes up. And then they want to help me fold laundry. Lord forbid if you grab their piles they pick out to fold because they will get upset. Yes, they get rewarded for helping Gmaw in the house.

Poppie got to be off for a few days and they are soaking it up

Dallas' graduation invitations came in and it is getting real.

This little one loves on me on her terms and then there is times she is apologizing for spilling something in the floor. ❤😍

Everything is blooming around here and causing a little allergy discomfort, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It is gorgeous and I love all the new life God brings and wakes every sleeping thing up. Well, maybe not snakes.

We have chosen not to grow a garden this year because quite honest, we have no room. Panties and freezers are still full and we would like to eat all of what we have out and start fresh and new next year. This will give us the opportunity to get some other small projects done around here this summer and take a little break.

Still dealing with and praying for a few family issues in our family. That being said, our Daughter in law has left again. I don't know all the details. I thought everything was going good but I guess not.

She has chosen to file for divorce and it will be final soon. Our hearts are still broken because just when we thought things were getting better, they turned. We have battled with this since last October and we have been through all stages with our son. He is in the anger and bitterness stage and just angry. I can only try to comfort so much. I pray everyday for God to heal the hurt in him. Only he can. He has tried to move on but he tries to hold on too. I am praying the healing comes soon so he can move on.

Life can get complicated some times and you can't fix everyone's problems and yes, this plays on a mommas heart ♥.  I have worried and cried so much that I made myself physically sick and I just can't anymore. I have learned to just hand it over to God and say, "Here Lord, I'm tired and I'm just gonna trust you." That's all we really can do after you have said all you can out of love and quideance.

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. If not yet because of your seasons, maybe soon.

Easter Sunday

I hope everyone had a blessed day Sunday. I know I did.

We had great a great service at church.

After church, we had lunch with Grandmother at Nannys house. Although it is just not the same without Nanny here with us now.  88 yrs old and she would still hunt eggs with the kids.

Dakota and all the girls left to go to Jossies grandmothers house. They had a big egg hunt there for everyone.

We got home and I just took the longest nap.

This morning, Jossie had trouble getting the girls up and out the door. When they got here this morning,  they were irritable and whiney until nap time. They got a good nap and we got outside for some good ole vitamin D.  Boy, the sun felt good on our faces and souls. Even the sweat felt good. First blooms of the season.

Dakota started playing t-ball when he was 5 yrs old.  Here we are 18 yrs later watching his daughter practice ball. She got on a team with 4 yr Olds. Same field too. Dallas started playing too at 6 yrs. Same field. My how time flies.
