Yes, You Can Give Yourself a Gel Dip Manicure

 If you don't have a Gel Dip Powder kit in your life, you need one. This is only my second time, and it took lots of trial and error, but each time has lasted me 3 weeks or 3 1/2 weeks each. I paired two kits together. $28 and $18 off of Amazon, and it will last me over a year. Each kit will give over 25 manicures. The big one with all the colors will give well over 50 manicures. Figure the math versus one manicure. The cost savings alone told me it was enough. The instructions were so easy to follow, even for a beginner. Just one recommendation: do not get it on your skin outside the nail. When it hardens, it's like Super Glue. I just kept trying and made sure to go slow and steady. 

Not perfect yet, but I'm learning. If I see something I think I can do myself, I will surely give it a try.

Update: 3 weeks into this dip gel powder manicure I did. Only had to maintenence one time due to lifting and nail bed growing away from cuticle. All I did then was buff and apply a fresh top coat. I have scrubbed pots and pans, used my fingernails to scrape gunk off counter tops and stoves and such, swam, grabbed things, and used them to open boxes. Not one chip, no breakage, and no peeling. I would say this kit has more than paid for itself.  Well worth it.

I even got one kit a piece for each daughter-in-law. They love getting their nails done. 

I hope you give these a try. I don't think you will be sorry.
