Welcome to my monthly update. I am so sorry it is late. Somehow I forgot to hit the post button. It never went out and I do apologize. So let me catch you up.
I left you last, saying that we had to leave the lake house and travel to the next place for dear hubby's job. Thankfully, it is in the same state and only 3 hrs away.
We got to the hotel safely and settled in. I've been meal planning, grocery shopping, and managing my home away from home. I love to still do my homemaking duties no matter where I am. I can still make meals to feed me and dear hubby. 😋 I just have to downsize now since I have a small refrigerator, air fryer, instant pot, and electric skillet.
I just made a homemade pizza in the air fryer.
I am taking the time to learn a few new things. Can't tell you yet, but I will soon.
I still get to enjoy water and a view with animals.
Fixed an awesome Taco Casserole Bake
I got out occasionally and found some thrift and Goodwill stores. I found my Momma and Daddy a little steeping tea pot for herbal teas. It has a filter inside to put your dried or fresh flowers or herbs, and steep. I also love the lid.
I found myself a couple of outfits to wear.
I have been going to a church that I found last year while we were here. Everyone recognized me, and again, I felt at home. Isn't that the way it is supposed to be when you visit others in Christ?
The choir is awesome, and the instruments are phenomenal.
On laundry days, I get in the pool and jacuzzi while the washers and dryers do their thing, and I can be right there and keep an eye out.
All my tinctures that I made up before we got here are doing well for me. I made my own daily regimen. I take them with some kind of acidic juice, like orange juice or a sweet juice like grape or cranberry, since I make my tinctures with apple cider vinegar instead of alcohol.
I also got my garlic and honey fixed up and fermented. So far, I have not had to have it, but it's here should I need it.

Dear Hubby and I got to go out to eat one night. I'm glad we got to enjoy this date because I'm lucky now if I get to see him for 3 to 4 hrs a day. He is in full swing now.
I am waiting on all the coastal flood warnings to die down so I can venture down to the coast and do some things.
The coastal flood warnings have passed now, but the temperature here lately has turned chilly. Maybe one day I can venture there.
Meanwhile, we are still enjoying our one date a week. We love finding new places to eat wherever we go.
I got to venture out another day, and I went to the Virginia Living Museum. My favorite attraction was Nora the Otter Mascot for the museum. She put on a really good show for us and was really friendly. So many creatures. I had a really good time, but I literally could not feel my legs when I got in the truck. I will leave you with pics, but there is no way I can leave all of them.
I enjoyed that so much. But it took me 2 days to recover from that outing. I could not feel my feet and legs, and I still had to drive. I still had to go over that long bridge over the James River and through the underwater tunnel. They have a lot of those out here, so at least I'm getting good practice. 👍
Something else I found was this. I come from a long line of Herbslists. You see, years ago, we found out by a cousin who took the time to trace our ancestry back, that we are related to Pocahontas through her half sister Cleopatra. Last year, when we were in VA, I begged dear hubby to take me to Jamestown, VA, where the fort is, where the Powhatan tribe traded and did business. You can visit that blog post here
Another week passed, and it was time for our date night. We went to a restaurant we found out here a year ago, and we visited again, and it did not disappoint.
It was time for another adventure, and this day I got out and about and hit two places I have been wanting to go, and they were only 2 miles apart. I had so much fun, and I got to pet or touch a freaking sting ray and jellyfish!!!!!! How cool is that? I visited the Virginia Aquarium and Science Center. I got to see many more animals, and especially those under the sea. Yes, I just sang it.
After the trip to the aquarium, I was right along the coastline and ventured to the beach. Dear hubby and I went there last year and made our mark, so I thought I would leave 4D Farms' mark that day. I wanted to grab some seashells for the grandkids. The Lord provided.
Please enjoy the pictures below of my adventures.
The very next day I was exhausted and just rested.
Well, this concludes my adventures for the month of October. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I did.
