Hello Friends. Welcome to today's post.
When I was little, my grandmother was the fried pie-making queen, among other things. Any time we were going on a day trip, she packed the biggest picnic lunches. I mean the works. Fried chicken, corn on the cob, potato salad, deviled eggs, watermelon, her vanilla drop cookies, and her famous fried apple pies.
The thing is, I didn't care for them. I did not like it, and I still sometimes don't like cooked fruit. I like it raw. As I have gotten older, I guess my pallet is changing. I'm beginning to like some things. So I tried my hand at making some but instead of making a pie crust, I used canned biscuits. They turned out great. Next time I make them, I will make homemade pie crust like she did, and let's see if I like them.
